Layt Abdul Ameer born 1968 in Baghdad/Iraq. He started in 1985 to study music at institute of Fine Art in Baghdad; Oud (Arabic Lute) as a main instrument, and Piano as second instrument. In 1993 he continued his musical study at the academy of Fine Art University of Baghdad with B.Sc. in music. From 1993 untill 1997 he was teaching Oud at the institute of Fine Art in Baghdad. He lives in Munich since 1999 and woks as a musician. Member of the iraqi music union since 1992.

Layt Abdul Ameer belongs to the young arabic musicians which formed and built their own music style. His own music comprise from classical arabic music which is mixed with western music.
